OTC Medicolegal provides independent occupational therapy assessments and expert reporting for solicitors, barristers and insurers across Ireland. Our expertise includes personal injury, medical negligence, functional and vocational capacity, care and support needs, and cost-of-care assessment.

Our occupational therapists bring extensive clinical and medico-legal experience, with backgrounds spanning acute care, rehabilitation, community practice, complex disability and vocational rehabilitation. This breadth of experience provides a detailed understanding of how injury, illness and disability can affect function, independence, employment and everyday life. The practice is led by a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in medico-legal assessment and reporting, cost-of-care assessment and complex rehabilitation, alongside doctoral-level expertise in cognitive neurorehabilitation. We combine this clinical depth with a clear understanding of medico-legal practice. Our reports address the questions raised in the instruction, are supported by clinical evidence and reasoned professional opinion, and are presented clearly for solicitors, barristers, insurers and legal proceedings. OTC Medicolegal was established to provide specialist occupational therapy expertise within the Irish medico-legal sector, with a focus on rigorous assessment, professional independence and high-quality expert reporting. Our occupational therapists are CORU-registered and members of the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland (AOTI), and practise in accordance with their professional and ethical obligations to objectivity, accuracy and independence.
