What We Offer
Our Services
OTC Medicolegal provides specialist occupational therapy assessment and expert reporting for solicitors, barristers, insurers and other professionals across Ireland. Each assessment is tailored to the instruction, providing a clear, independent and evidence-based opinion on the specific functional, rehabilitation or care issues raised.
Occupational Therapy Medico-Legal Reports
Independent occupational therapy assessments for personal injury, medical negligence and insurance cases. Reports address functional capacity, activities of daily living, care and support needs, and the ongoing and future impact of injury or illness. Findings and opinions are clearly reasoned, evidence-based and presented to the standard required for medico-legal proceedings.
Vocational Assessment & Rehabilitation Reports
A clear, evidence-based assessment of an individual’s capacity to return to work, the functional impact of injury or illness, appropriate workplace adjustments, and realistic vocational options. Reports can inform litigation, insurance matters, rehabilitation planning and return-to-work decisions.
Clinical Case Management
For individuals with complex and ongoing needs, we coordinate rehabilitation and care across services. This includes liaison with treating professionals, sourcing appropriate therapies and supports, monitoring progress, and reviewing care plans as needs evolve. A single point of contact for coordinated, person-centred rehabilitation.
Expert Witness & Court Attendance
Our occupational therapists are available to provide clear, impartial expert evidence in court, at hearings and, where appropriate, in other legal proceedings. Opinions are grounded in the clinical assessment, available evidence and professional reasoning. Our duty as expert witnesses is to provide independent and objective opinion, irrespective of the instructing party.
Care Needs & Cost of Care Reports
A detailed, itemised assessment of current and future care and support needs, with associated costs supported by clinical reasoning and appropriate market evidence. This may include personal care, therapy and rehabilitation, assistive technology, equipment, home adaptations, case management and other disability-related supports.
